And I decided liquids were fine, and I'd just drink a glass of milk if I felt hungry. No dice. I felt sick by one and broke the fast before three ... but had an awful migraine the rest of the evening. By dinnertime, I felt like I was going to throw up every time I moved too much or too fast. Giving the baby his bath was torturous. Yeah, I'm not doing that again.

Later I analyzed what ate, and realized that even on a normal day, I don't eat as much as I should. So cutting that in half was simply not smart. Guess I know better for Good Friday!Sheilahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10853868724554947854noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8188078120365131355.post-26406849431667195482011-03-11T01:00:02.196-05:002011-03-11T01:00:02.196-05:00What a common sense post. I too, cut out only snacks and ate fairly normally. I thought it would be fine, this little one, after all, is my 7th nursing infant. It's amazing how such a little thing like cutting out the between meal snacks really affected my milk supply! I also ended up with a headache and was completely overwrought emotionally. The lesson learned here is truly a bit of humility. I'm not invincible and I should definitely not fast while nursing.Maurisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06489369133555827520noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8188078120365131355.post-76938750943656771142011-03-10T13:19:56.954-05:002011-03-10T13:19:56.954-05:00Agreed & I just saw a CM post asking lol. It didn't hurt my supply like yours did (I was lucky there) but I got very very sick. Now tech I have an "out" every year since I'm hypoglycemic and I know that factored in.. but its never bothered me during fasting before. A normal day I go w/ out eating 7 small meals and I'm toast... fasting day? Its like I don't have it at all. That was not true that year. I will never do that again. Lesson learned the hard way :-(Krishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06877510817457439788noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8188078120365131355.post-69328269978981444922011-03-10T12:20:56.044-05:002011-03-10T12:20:56.044-05:00I too had a headache yesterday, a really bad one a...I too had a headache yesterday, a really bad one at that! I too thought I could make it as my 8 month old is eating baby foods too. I won't be doing that again, it made for a very unhappy Mommy and baby was up at 3am. (He's usually sleeping through the night...) You'd think by baby #5 I would have learned.... sigh... now off to have a lil' snack.Peklet Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08197235588914712505noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8188078120365131355.post-62262776722489994982011-03-10T12:08:45.975-05:002011-03-10T12:08:45.975-05:00Yes, please don't. I had a slightly smaller bowl of cereal for breakfast and a peanut butter sandwich and some fruit. This probably only was 300 calories less than normal, but by 1:30pm I had a terrible headache and felt a little nauseated. So I ended up breaking the fast.jilly4skihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16392615745924392926noreply@blogger.com
