Time for a Relaunch

I haven't talked about my stores for a while because for the last 18 months the only thing in them has been the patterns for snood making that I sell.

After five years of running my shops I was a little burnt out and with James' arrival and all the appointments my "little break" after he was born stretched on and on until I wondered if I would ever start making items for sale again.

In the last few months I've gotten back into making things, and yesterday after talking with Paul, I decided to relaunch my shop.

There are going to be some big changes this time around.  I'm not planning on accepting custom orders at this point, because I've realized that a lot of the stress that caused me to close my shop came from very particular custom orders (the sort where I'd get 20+ emails describing exactly what a single snood needed to look like) and I'm hoping to avoid that this time while continuing to make things that I love and think others will enjoy.

And I'm planning on keeping 100% of what's up in the store in stock, so there isn't any late night sewing of a dozen snoods that need to go out tomorrow.

The biggest change may be that I'm combing all my shops and Paul's shop (which I don't think I ever mentioned here) into one store.

So far I only had time to work on it last night, so only a few of my favorite snoods and chaplets are up.  Today we'll be prepping Paul's items for a photo shoot and getting them up in the store, along with a few other new items I have in mind.

At the moment most of the snoods I'm posting are the last of the fabrics I have.  The unbleached linen below is the very last of one of my most popular snoods, and I don't foresee making any more in the near future (it's one of those snoods I sewed many, many times, and at the moment I'm focusing more on making new products and posting the many snoods that have been hanging around that I already have made).

So here's the latest!  I'm so excited to be sharing my work with you again!

My favorite in pink!

This is one of my all time favorite cotton prints.

And this is one of my all time favorite snoods.  It's lace over silk and I love the way it holds it's shape!

The last of one of my most popular fabrics!
Rose dupioni and lace!

A chaplet for one of my favorite saints!

An Our Lady of Guadalupe Chaplet
A Saint Kateri Chaplet

A Single Decade Rosary Inspired by Sadie Kate

A Saint Anne Chaplet
Those are a few of what I've added yesterday... and as a hint about what Paul's been working on I'll show you this:

He opened an Etsy shop this summer, and sold out fairly quickly.  He's hard at work getting a new set of pipes ready to add to our new combined shop and I can't wait to see the finished products!

I'm hoping we can have them up and running tonight!

Mermaid Tail and Other Great Sales

This year with the rush of getting ready for Thanksgiving and then launching straight into Advent preparations I neglected my shops a little.  I sewed on the orders that were coming in, but I didn't take pictures of my latest projects or put up coupon codes like I did in the past.  So Black Friday and Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday all slipped past.  But I would like to offer a few coupon codes for any of you who are still doing Christmas shopping or have been thinking about buying anything in any of my shops.

I'm offering 10% off in my snood shop.  If you go to A Snood for All Seasons and use the Code Advent10 when you're checking out 10% will be taken off of your entire order.

My snood shop has everything from snoods to eternity veils to headbands!
In my rosary shop, Full of Grace Creations, you'll find rosaries and chaplets.  While I have more traditional looking rosaries in the shop, Sadie helped me pick out the beads for these one of a kind chaplets that I added this evening too!  Just use Advent20 at checkout and you'll get 20% off everything in your cart!

For my newest shop, Mae Bae's I've saved the largest discount.  From tonight through December 24th you can save 25% off if you use the coupon code Advent 25 .

And now, for a moment that has been a long time coming...

I have now added custom Mermaid Tails to Mae Bae's shop.

Right now I have two different listing posted, one for a single fabric tail and one for a double fabric tail.  There's also an option for the bottom of the tails to be open or closed.

Single Fabric

Double Fabric
And the Mae Bae's coupon is good on mermaid tails so if you're considering one now would be the time to shop!

The Once a Year Thanksgiving Sale

It's here!  My Big Yearly Weekend After Thanksgiving Sale (which will actually run from today through Monday!).  This years sale is going to be paying for fun things like the gas bill, which I'm afraid to receive after a month of actually using the heater on a daily basis.  I've been keeping the temperature down in the 60s for the most part but still, I hear it clicking on far too often to make me think that the amount is not going to be frightening!

Anyways, this week I've been hurriedly finishing a pile of new snoods while Patrick finally learned to like his bassinet, which I believe is a result of realizing that his sister can't touch and cuddle and kiss him when he's in it.  He now stays quietly in his little haven gazing out at us happily.  This development is making sewing and cooking quite a bit easier!

The coupon for this years big sale gives you 20% off at any of my stores.  Just head over, pick out what you like and add the 20% off coupon code GIVETHANKS20 at checkout and you'll save 20% on your entire order!

Now on to the latest creations I have up!  In the past two days I posted nineteen new headcoverings!  I found some great fabrics at Hobby Lobby a few weeks ago (although there was only enough for one snood of each fabric since they came from the fat quarter section) and I think they're perfect for the holidays.  Here are the five one of a kind snoods!

I also found a few shimmering fabrics that reminded me of fall!  I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the orange when it was finished.  It's one of my favorites:

There's also a matching gold fabric...

There's also this fun gold lace (along with a lot of other new laces, both in snood and convertible headcoverings!):

There are even some beautiful lightweight cotton snoods up (like this one!):

And the coupon code works at my other shops, so if your looking for jewelry or chaplets:

the 20% of coupon works at my other shops too!

I hope you're all having a great holiday weekend!

Bringing Home Nico! A Post with Pictures!

Some of you may remember that there's a special sale coupon and fundraiser going on in all three of my shops at the moment.  And I'm excited to say that I can now offer you even more information than I did last time (which I was just bursting to do with my last post, but was waiting for all the puzzle pieces to all into place!) along with a picture of the cute little guy you'll be helping bring home to his family with any purchase this month (or if you head straight over here and donate directly!).

Kara and her wonderful family are raising money to bring Nico, an adorable little red head with down syndrome, home from the orphanage where he's spend his life.  When Kara first shared on her blog that they were beginning their adoption journey, I was ecstatic!  I've known Kara through the blogosphere and facebook for a while now and I knew that she loved Nico and that she and her family had been praying for him to find a family for quite a while.  It was hard, even then when the adoption was still only a hope, not to think of him as part of her family, already.

Here's a wonderful little description from the family's Reece's Rainbow page:

"Kyle and Kara met in 2004 and quickly fell in love. They were blessed with 4 beautiful daughters soon after that and live a blissfully busy life.

When Kara discovered Reece’s Rainbow, it was like a dream come true. She has always been called to orphans and especially the work of Mother Teresa, but didn’t know how to help. So, having a tangible way to advocate for these children was amazing.
Then Kara saw Nico and everything changed. She fell head over heels in love, but because they were not able to adopt at that time, she vowed to advocate as hard as she could for him, in hopes that a family would find him. Things changed very quickly once that “yes” was on both Kyle and Kara’s hearts, and they have been blessed to walk through each door as it has opened. They are praying that they will be able to give Nico the home and family that he deserves soon."
And here are two pictures of the adorable little guy:

I just saw the second picture for the first time a few days ago, and I couldn't believe how much Nico had grown!!!  We need to get this little guy home to his Mommy and Daddy and sisters!

For anyone who's interested, there are several ways that you can help Nico come home to his family!  You can donate directly towards the cost of the adoption at Reece's Rainbow.  You can join me in stalking the family's adoption facebook page, where an upcoming Halloween auction will raise funds for this expensive process.  Or, if you're in a snood/headcovering/chaplet/rosary/jewelry/saint peg doll buying mood you can take this coupon ( SeptemberDonate10) which will be good until the end of this month, and will save you 10% in any of my stores and know that an additional 10% from all sales will go towards bringing Nico home.

I'm even pushing to sew as much as I can and have added ten new headcoverings (with another fifty or so waiting to be photographed, which should keep me busy these next few nights!), so that anyone interested has lots of new choices.  Here are a few of my favorites (you can see all the new listings here!):

I'm trying to post as many as I can on all three shops (hopefully I can do a new chaplet/jewelry photo shoot tonight for Full of Grace Creations), so that anyone who's thinking of shopping has lots of choices!

Anyways, I just had to share now that it was official that the McIntee family were working towards bringing their little boy home!  Reece's Rainbow is an amazing organization and the McIntee family are such a lovely family, I pray that there little boy is safe and snuggly in his new home soon!

And of course, prayers for Nico and his family and this whole process, are always appreciated!

Shop to Help Bring a Baby Home to His Family

One of my favorite bloggers/online friends announced earlier this week that they are officially saving for a home study to bring home one of the little angels from Reece's Rainbow and give him a wonderful loving home!

And I knew that I wanted to do something to help speed up this part of the process, even if it was only in a small way, because I've been hoping she would make this announcement!  So...

10% of all sales for the month of September will be going to this awesome cause, to help rescue a cute little guy from an orphanage on the other side of the world.  Anything you buy from Full of Grace Creations, A Snood for All Seasons or Sadie's Saints will result in 10% going straight into the fund that will help speed this little sweetie's journey to a loving home!

Or you can head right over to the blog itself and donate directly to this awesome cause!

Because he's just waiting to come home to his big sisters and mama and daddy!

And by purchasing a new headcovering or chaplet or saint peg doll (think stocking stuffers!) you can help!

Besides, since everyone likes to save a little too, I've created a special coupon to go along with this event.  When you enter SeptemberDonate10 in the coupon code section you save 10% too!

If you feel like shopping follow any of the links below to get started!  And if you want to order from more than one shop I can create a custom listing for you so you'll save on shipping!
