I'm Back!

Yay for a computer that is 99% up and running. I re-ran the startup disks and the hardware check (it came back as okay!) and my computer is dong everything it's supposed to, unless I try to open multiple windows in tabs, then it instantly freezes and crashes the program. I'm hoping it's one of those things that will be fixed with the next update (because that's usually what seems to happen with Mac problems that we've had in the past). Now to get my mind out of "fix the computer" panic mode and back into blogging mode.

  1. Hooray! Glad that it wasn't (apparently) as serious as it first sounded. I'll ask the dh about the crashing when multiple tabs are open and get his take.

  2. Cam, my husband suggests that the problem might be that you don't have enough RAM to support multiple windows being open concurrently. Extra RAM is relatively inexpensive now, however. (He also wanted to know if you have an external hard drive to back things up, but I imagine you do.)

  3. I do have it all backed up (I've learned from past non-Apple crashes!) on an external drive. It does let me have a lot of windows open at the same time, just not in the same tab. So right now I have 10 windows open (I always do that when I'm in blogger so I can look at news stories to write about) but I can't have two open in the same tab (which is what I usually do so my computer "looks" a little more organized.

I do have a lot of pictures...

I love comments and I read every single comment that comes in (and I try to respond when the little ones aren't distracting me to the point that it's impossible!). Please show kindness to each other and our family in the comment box. After all, we're all real people on the other side of the screen!
