Back in the USA!

Yay! Paul is back in the US!

And of course, he had security difficulties. When he got to the airport in Italy they told him that his passport had been flagged. Just like they said three years ago in Zurich.

He said it took three calls to security and half an hour before they finally let him go. I wonder what the problem is with that passport?

I'll be so glad when he's home! And Sadie is going to be thrilled. She named a giant stuff bunny "Daddy" and keeps showing me his picture. I'm counting the hours!

  1. My guess is that he shares a name with someone on their watch list. Although I've heard of people with similar spellings to a known terrorist getting flagged too. There's even a 7 year old on the watch list because he has the same name as a terror suspect. And my guess is if you husband doesn't have problems in the US that it's a EU terrorist since Zurich and Italy are a part of it. Try goggling his name.

  2. It seems like it's only in Europe. We'd wondered (usually half jokingly/half seriously) if it's because we were both hired by US intelligence agencies before we decided on different paths. Or he shares the name of a trouble maker in Austria (that's where our last name is from)!

  3. As soon as I saw the title of your post I wondered how security was for your husband. I guess he needs an OFFICIAL passport that says on it, "I am not a terrorist. I am just a big man."
