Default I'm having an abortion...

I found out I am pregnant yesterday. I scheduled an abortion for Wednesday.

I know that this is horrible, that I will regret it, and I hate myself - but I have no choice. The alternative is just not an option. All I can think about is if God will ever forgive me....

Here's my response-

Please, please, please don't go through with this abortion. You will regret it for the rest of your life! Once it is done you will never be able to take it back and will carry the sorrow with you for the rest of your life.

I absolutely did not think I was ready to be a mom when I found out that I was pregnant. I had lots of plans, and being a mom was something that was supposed to be way off in the future, not something that was supposed to happen yet. I had struggled with depression and been diagnosed by a psychiatrist with post traumatic stress and OCD (along with the depression). We had (and still have) tens of thousands of dollars of debt as our student loans continue to pile up). And we live in a 10 x 15 foot cabin! And it has all worked out!

It isn't easy to do, but sometimes you just have to put your trust in God and his plans for your life! He did not create this life so that it could be destroyed. He has plans for you and for your child! Those plans do not include being torn from your womb.

I know that it seems impossible now and that the pregnancy hormones are probably making the situation seem even more dire, but you have a child now and you need to think like a mother. You need to do everything in your power to protect this child. He or she already exists. You already have a son or daughter!

Please don't go through with this abortion. You will be in my prayers!

I cannot thank you all enough for your prayers.....they truly helped me SO much. I am so happy that I posted and cried out for help.

I told Pat this evening that I just can't do it.

So we are not. We are going to make it work. Our priest is coming over tomorrow to talk with us.

Thank you again.
