Here is, from memory, a snippet of the conversation Paul and I just had:
Paul: "They better." (studying the size of the bookcase) "I mean, how many square feet is that thing."
Me: "Nine!"
Paul: "It's only nine?"
So yes. It appears that I only have nine square feet of cookbooks and crafting books when they're neatly put away. Hopefully. Because I don't think Paul would really be a fan of a second cook book bookcase. That might indicate a cookbook addiction of some sort. He might try to put me in some sort of a twelve step cookbook program... and really, I don't want to be cured of my cookbooks...
I've got a goodwill addiction. But I don't think Josh is going to cure me of that one. I'm also obsessed with baby dresses and I don't even have a baby!
ReplyDeleteI'm a book lover from my childhood. The public librarians all loved me, I read 10-12 books a week as a little kid. So when I tell you about my library, you can show your hubby it could be a LOT worse than a single book case.
ReplyDeleteFortunately for me, my hubby loves books too and doesn't mind the furniture we don't have because of the books....
85 linear feet of 7 foot tall book-cases filled to over-flowing with something like 6,000 books, and I don't count romance novels.
We live in a library.
I figure when compared to MY book collection, your hubby might be more than OK with two book cases.
