So... We started this morning with some drama. I'd gone into the kitchen to get the morning started in the breakfast department. I was boiling tea and had decided to try to make peppermint tea jello and suddenly there was a frightened looking five year old staring at me. Then she reached up and pulled a tooth out of her mouth and handed it to me.
After much coaxing, because she's not opening her mouth to speak at the moment, I found out that she was so excited to be watching My Little Ponies that she had run into the TV... and knocked her tooth out... which means she also has quite the fat lip and a bruise under her eye... what a way to start the morning!
In other news I did call the case worker yesterday (morning) and I haven't heard anything back yet. And waiting hasn't killed me yet so... that's something.
I'd made mashed garlic onion turnips for dinner and it was the first food that he was presented with that he didn't think was completely disgusting. He ate all of a teaspoon I'd guess, but it was actual food going into his mouth that he was interested in and that he seemed to be enjoying!
In other surprising news I realized that I actually like turnips! I'm not sure I'd ever had them before I made them the other day, but they were actually very tasty!
Because she looked that sad sitting on the couch without that tooth... the story of me losing my first tooth while my sister was holding me upside down by my ankles almost made her smile. Almost.
We shall see. We shall see...

Too cute about the lost tooth. I can't stomach turnips, parsnips or beets since I was a child. Maybe I'll give them a whirl.ReplyDelete
Love the new photos, throughout. Good luck with the new camera. We purchased the indestructible camera for our now 14 year old, only for her to lose it. I am sure they haven't come up with a solution for that one yet.
You know, I don't think I've ever had a turnip! Ever! I'm not even sure I would know how to fix one. The mashed onion garlic turnips do sound intriguing though!ReplyDelete
Oh my goodness, poor Sadie but I can't help but giggle a little bit at her quietly handing you a TOOTH!!! At least she'll have a good story to tell :PReplyDelete
