Mommy Made Dress #3- Stars and Stripes!

Sadie is ready for the 4th of July! I finished Dress #3 and I think it's my favorite one so far (this is probably due to the fact that the 4th is a huge holiday in our little town and I've loved it since I was little!)! I'm going crazy waiting to go into the City to pic up a few new patterns (and it has to be this week because Joann's is having a sale!). I think I'm ready to try something a little bit more difficult, maybe with a few more ruffles. I saw a few Simplicity patterns on their site that said they were "easy" but that looked a little more difficult than this one. Maybe I can try one of the Vintage Vogue apron patterns to tide me over through nap time today...

All I had to do was turn on Sid the Science Kid and I have motionless pictures of our little bundle of energy!

Until she saw her basket of books! Mommy books are way more fun than TV! That's my girl!

Sadie is getting a little tired of Mommy snapping pictures at this point! But this one shows the dress the best!

  1. I love the dress! I really need to find the time to do more patterns. I have one for a skirt that I've been meaning to do for months. I think you've inspired me to finally start it.. :)

  2. How absolutely adorable, both Sadie and the dress! I've not yet had a chance to see if you have any other sewing projects I can admire, but hope to peruse your blog for some now. Thank you for posting this one for me to enjoy!

  3. Adorable! I just got back from JoAnn's--our little girl is 14 months, and I picked up pattern #7189, as well as a skirt pattern for Mama :) The material was truly ridiculous even on sale!

I just discovered your blog a couple of weeks ago and really enjoy it! Love the new header photo!

I love comments and I read every single comment that comes in (and I try to respond when the little ones aren't distracting me to the point that it's impossible!). Please show kindness to each other and our family in the comment box. After all, we're all real people on the other side of the screen!
