Theme Thursday: Orange

I have to admit that one of my very favorite things to do when I have a camera in my hands, is lean back, look straight up, and snap a picture of the sky through the branches of a beautiful tree.  It's been something I've loved doing since college, when my friends probably wondered why I was frequently snapping pictures of trees and then having them developed and hanging them on my wall as if it were some great piece of art, or why I was sitting out on a picnic table painting the same view or just stopping to stare as if I'd never seen a tree before because the light was hitting the leaves just so.

I don't have as much time to linger and indulge my tree gazing passion these days, since if I did I'm pretty sure someone would run off in about .02 seconds, but the other day I snapped this shot while we were at the park... because if there's one thing I love more than taking pictures gazing up through the leaves of a tree, it's taking a picture gazing up through the leaves of a tree in autumn.

I know I've already said it a dozen times in as many different ways, but I'll say it again.  I love this season:

  1. I enjoy doing this as well. It's a tiny snippet of heaven.

Loving the new blog look, BTW. It's much easier on the eyes to read. I must be getting old :-)

I love comments and I read every single comment that comes in (and I try to respond when the little ones aren't distracting me to the point that it's impossible!). Please show kindness to each other and our family in the comment box. After all, we're all real people on the other side of the screen!
