2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 tsps baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup whipping cream
1/2 cup melted butter
4 ripe bananas
2 eggs
Combine flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, baking soda, pecans and chocolate chips in one bowl. Mash bananas in a separate bowl and then add whipping cream, butter, and eggs. Gradually add flour mixture and stir until mixed. Bake on 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean!
Enjoy!

I have a recipe my neighbor gave me years ago for sour cream banana bread. I've nearly always altered it to make it into chocolate chip/walnut banana bread. When I was feeling very nutrition conscious I swapped out some of the flour for oatmeal (the proportion you'd use for oatmeal muffins) to make oatmeal/ chocolate chip/walnut/sour cream banana bread, but I always just called it chocolate chip banana bread. I even sometimes swapped out the sour cream for yogurt if I didn't happen to have sour cream. I love altering recipes...
ReplyDeleteThis looks SO good! I know my family would just love it. I am eyeballing some ripening bananas, so I may just have to try this tonight. :-) Thanks so much for linking up with "Try a New Recipe Tuesday!" I hope you will be able to join us again! :-)
