{phfr} Maggie Edition

In honor of Autism Acceptance Month I thought I'd dedicate a {pretty, happy, funny, real} post to my favorite three year old:

{pretty}

Here's a picture snapped by her therapist yesterday.
Apparently after putting on her little scarf she said "baby" and made a rocking motion with her hands.
I wonder who she was pretending to be!  (LOL!)

{happy}

Her brother and sister are trying to figure out what she's doing with that stick... but she's having a ball!

Watching a swan try to get up on the ice.
The swans were her favorite (okay, maybe after the gold fish in with the turtles).
This was what Maggie's whole day (the swan kept falling through the ice and popping back up and she loved watching it).
{funny}

We were quite the sight walking around the mall...
{real}

In my mind these pictures represent "real" because if Mae had her way she would never stop moving, never stop running, giggling, with her sister running along beside her.  I'm so glad that the weather warmed up enough that she had a chance to do that this week:

  1. I love the pictures of the girls running, mid-stride. So beautiful. And if only that could be the everyday reality of children. Freedom to be kids. Lovely pictures!

  2. She is just lovely. I have to say, Cam, I really enjoy reading your autism posts. You are a wonderful mother and she (and her siblings) is (are) very blessed to have you!

  3. I just love the first picture of Mae, the one the therapist took. What a lovely child! What a beautiful expression on her face. The true testament to what kind of mom and dad you and Paul are is how happy and carefree your children are. It speaks volumes of the love they receive in your home.
    God Bless. ~ Bonnie

I love comments and I read every single comment that comes in (and I try to respond when the little ones aren't distracting me to the point that it's impossible!). Please show kindness to each other and our family in the comment box. After all, we're all real people on the other side of the screen!
