  3. I was thinking about making something like this for our door to door religious people like the Jahovah Witness or the Mormons. I thought maybe to put on a plain cross and a center that either has Jesus on it or just a bead. My mother used to use the rosary than intended a little differently before we converted by assigning a person she wanted to pray for to each bead. I think she then made up her own personal prayer for each person. I figured it might be a good introduction to the real thing.

I'd like to win this. I'm a follower too.

You might want a small book called, "My Treasury of Chaplets". They have photos of what the chaplet should look like and the prayer that goes with the chaplet. I've owned several copies as I end up giving them to people who make rosaries and chaplets. :)

  6. @ Cate: I don't think it's weird at all. The rosary is a spoken prayer, but also a meditation on the life of Christ from the point of view of his mother, which is just an amazing way to pray! It was a prayer that I stumbled on while still Protestant and I think it's something that every Christian could benefit from. I think I feel another blog post coming on... I just need to find the time for it. My messy living room is glaring at me on this night before advent!

@Jana: That book is exactly what I've been looking for! I ordered a copy the day I saw your comment! Thank you so much!

And that means there will probably be a greater variety of chaplets in my store soon!

I love comments and I read every single comment that comes in (and I try to respond when the little ones aren't distracting me to the point that it's impossible!). Please show kindness to each other and our family in the comment box. After all, we're all real people on the other side of the screen!
