Holiday Snoods for the Upcoming Season!

"Resting" has given me time to finish a few of the snoods that I had machine sewed, but hadn't gotten around to finishing by hand.  And that means that today I was able to post several of the "holiday snoods" that I'd been working on.  I've finally gotten the hang of sewing satin, so expect to see more satin in the not so distant future.

This Satin Snood is one of my favorites!  The color reminds me of advent and the fit is so pretty!

This snood had me thinking of cold northern winters, something we're going to be missing here in Florida!

This is my Christmas snood.  It's the snood I'll be wearing myself this winter.  The velvet isn't crushed, but is stretchy so it gives a very comfortable fit.  And I loved the matching gold organza tie when I saw how they looked together!

This is another snood that I designed for myself, but that I'm also offering on my shop!  It's bright blue dupioni silk and it might just be my favorite creation ever.  I had to use this picture because it best showed the brilliant color!  Maybe someday I'll make a dress in this color...

This snood is perfect for the holidays!  It's comfortable and eye catching!

Like the white snood above, this baby blue snood reminds me of winter.  I miss the cold!

And that's what I've been working on while I've been "resting."  Now that I've sewed all the snoods I had done on the machine, I'm not sure what I'm going to do!  I feel like my hands need to keep busy, even when I'm laying down!

  1. I love your new winter snoods. I can't wait to get one. I love how you are making little girl dresses too, so pretty. I hope the whole situation with your health and the hospital works itself out, that seems so difficult.

I love comments and I read every single comment that comes in (and I try to respond when the little ones aren't distracting me to the point that it's impossible!). Please show kindness to each other and our family in the comment box. After all, we're all real people on the other side of the screen!
