Yesterday was Patrick's two week birthday and in the past two weeks I've realized something:
Being sick throughout the pregnancy did have one post-pregnancy benefit (looking on the upside here). I didn't gain the 42+lbs that I gained with the girls. And those last weeks where there were days and days at a time on an IV with no eating also seemed to kick in to help out with the less-than-ordinary-for-me weight gain...
So... while we don't have a scale (the last two have been broken by our scale jumping four year old) I do feel like I've lost a lot of the baby weight. I'm not sure if I've lost all of it, but I think I'm pretty close. Since it took 12 months to lose it with each of the girls this is quite a difference. Here are my two week post baby pictures:
And in this one Paul has me laughing hysterically after a comment about "preening like a peacock":
Now to spend the day cooking and making foods that are not at all conductive to losing weight. It's a good thing he snapped these yesterday!
You look fabulous! Sometimes I think it's better not having a scale in the house during those early post baby days. I hope you have a blessed Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteNo more Patrick bump. Congrats Cammie! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteYou look incredible! I still haven't lost mine - my youngest is 9...
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt only took you 2 weeks to look like that?! Amazing! Though I certainly don't envy the pregnancy hardships you had to endure.
