Earlier in the week a package arrived from California. It contained my very first ski outfit. And while it fit me when I was in the 8-10 age range, it fit Sadie pretty well now (the legs were only a couple inches too long, and will be perfect with boos).
She instantly became... 1990s cool:

...to her not-very-coordinated head (she apparently inherited both her coolness and her sense of balance from her parents...)...
...she really enjoyed her new outfit...
However she wasn't the one who loved it the most.
That would have been Mae Bae. Mae was obsessed:
I think my mom may still have my ski suit (Also from the 90's) Mine was electric blue, hot pink, neon green, and neon yellow. I wore it my 4th grade year to do a science fair project on skin pigmentation and social studies fair project on how skin pigmentation has affected societies across the world. I think I might still have the project boards in the same colors. Oh the late 80's and early 90's with the electric colors and the side pony tails. What where our parents thinking?
ReplyDeleteSooooo 1990's! You would have been the epitome of cool wearing that! I get Mae's obsession with it. I remember in the 90's when we went for a trip to England and Wales and EVERYONE was wearing parachute tracksuits in the boldest colours and I was obsessed with getting one myself!
