The Nativity Set Comes Out for December

The little monster/ bunny is asleep! She was gunning for Pumpkin this evening who, at five pounds and eighteen year old, might not survive an enthusiastic Sadie encounter, even if Sadie's intentions are just a quick cuddle. I ended up stationing myself in front of the cat to keep either of them from losing a limb.

The big excitement of the day came when Nani pulled out Sadie's Fischer Price Nativity Set and the Reindeer and Santa and put the Mayflower and Pilgrim set away. We came home and Nani had cleaned the house and set up the toys in a cute, orderly little area and Sadie spotted it from across the room. It was like Godzilla attacking a city. Reindeer flew through the air (I found one in her little toy oven later on). The angel was ripped off of the top of the barn (repeatedly). And somehow the Wonder Pets became central figures in the Nativity story.

She is such an energetic little bunny!

It is such a pleasure to encounter another Catholic woman who believes in the virtue of modest dress (among many other virtues). I look forward to learning more about your lovely family through your blog. I hope you and your family have a joyous and blessed Advent season!

I love comments and I read every single comment that comes in (and I try to respond when the little ones aren't distracting me to the point that it's impossible!). Please show kindness to each other and our family in the comment box. After all, we're all real people on the other side of the screen!
