I love October (and November and December for that matter). It's finally cool enough to go outside after 9am! Sadie loves it and is burning up energy running everywhere. This is my favorite time of year. It's not as cold as it's going to get (although it is pretty cold!) and the leaves are all changing colors. I snapped a few pictures this week and wanted to share them with you!
Enjoying a beautiful local vineyard during a fair!
Another pumpkin patch!
We accidently left a sprinkler on! It is pretty cold here!
Even the lavender and rosemary in the herb garden froze!
We've been keeping busy with trips to the library, walks, coloring (Sadie has just discovered how much fun drawing is) and chasing the cats. It looks like it's going to be a wonderful season! Now I just need to wrangle Sadie and Paul into a picture for our Christmas cards!
It looks like the weather is a lot colder in Northern California than in WA state. Here we are just getting a lot of rain and grey skies, but no freezing yet. I love Sadie's outfit. She looks so cute wandering around the pumpkin patch. How is your sewing going?
ReplyDeleteHi Maria-
ReplyDeleteThe news here keeps saying it's above freezing, which I think is funny! I finally sent them the same picture I posted here, because it really is below 32! We're in the mountains, and while we haven't gotten the storms we've been seeing on the news up in Washington and Oregon, we've definitely got the cold. We're not too far from Oregon (as the crow flies) but the mountain roads are so twisty that it takes forever to get anywhere.
Slow progress in the sewing department! My mom and I did finally set up a sewing/cutting area so I no longer have an excuse not to start the dresses. She's been busy making pillow cases for all the grandkids, but she's promised to help me with the dresses soon. I've been so wrapped up in the sweater I've been knitting (I even took it on a walk yesterday and knitted while I walked) that I've been letting everything else wait! I need to refocus!
